About Nordfab Americas

Serving North and South America

Nordfab Americas was incorporated in 1979 and is proudly celebrating over 45 years of service in the Clean Air industry. As a manufacturer of duct products for environmental filtration systems, we are proud to help supply clean air for workers and equipment in workplaces of all sizes and types. Our ducting is an integral part of dust, mist, and fume collection systems around the world.

Nordfab introduced Quick-Fit® clamp-together ductwork, with its unique rolled edge ends and easy-to-use clamps, in 1990. As well as being the originator, Nordfab is the industry leader, and the world’s largest manufacturer of clamp-together ducting for industrial ventilation.

Manufacturing
In the USA, Nordfab owns and operates two office and manufacturing facilities, now totaling 177,000 square feet, in Thomasville, NC, including a 142,000ft2 facility for manufacturing standard QF products and a 35,000ft2 facility for manufacturing heavier gauge products. Nordfab Americas continues to grow in order to better serve our customers. Total footage includes the recent addition of 55,000 square feet of production and warehouse space, completed in April 2023. Read our news regarding Nordfab Now® and the reason for our recent expansion.

Over 150 production, sales, and customer support employees work at our facilities. No direct competitor in the industry matches Nordfab's investment in qualified employees, R&D or production technology.

Sustainability

sustainability - green glass globe in forestSustainability is one of those buzzwords we often hear...but do we really think about what it means?

We have spent some time thinking about what it means to us at Nordfab.

For a start, Nordfab proudly offers a sustainable product - one easily REUSED when facilities are reconfigured or when machinery is relocated.

But what are we doing on a daily basis in our manufacturing operation?

Our biggest sustainability achievement is ongoing as part of our Nordfab Now project. Although we have expanded our footprint, with the addition of the solar array on the roof of our largest factory building, we are very excited that we will be cutting our energy consumption in half!

We:

  • Added solar panels in 2023 with a footprint of 85,000 ft2 on the roof of our QF Plant. The rooftop solar system of 1,050 kW will produce an estimated 1,417 Megawatt hours of electricity per year. This will cover roughly 47% of the estimated energy consumption at our QF Plant facility and will also reduce Nordfab's carbon footprint by 1,004 metric tons.
  • Return all scrap metal to the mill for re-use.
  • Have our discarded wooden pallets collected for re-use.
  • Recycle cardboard and other paper waste.
  • Test for and repair air leaks so our compressors run efficiently.
  • Recently changed to running our pipe roller / welder on 100% nitrogen vs an argon/helium mix.
  • Recently switched all facilities lights to LED.
  • Provide EV chargers allowing Nordfab employees and customers who visit our campus to charge their electric vehicles.
  • Provide Revit® models for use in BIM (Building Information Modeling) projects. Facility designers face pressure to facilitate the construction industry's sustainability efforts. Using BIM improves accuracy, helping to reduce waste during the construction phase.

We truly believe in the importance of being a company that helps make the future better.

Every action counts

We work continuously to improve and strengthen our business practices, with a focus on building and maintaining transparency, honesty and accountability. Nordfab stocks a large amount of items for quick shipment. Our Nordfab Now® expansion allows us to ship most commonly ducting products the next day after an order is placed.

We recently sent a customer satisfaction survey to all our customers. One question asked what they would tell others about us.
